Osrs motherlode mine gold nuggets11/21/2023 Players can receive ores that range from coal to runite, depending upon their level. Experience is also obtained if the pay-dirt yields gold or higher ore. The player will be able to see their pay-dirt flowing toward the sack at the other end of the water circuit note that if the player logs out or change worlds before their pay-dirt reaches the sack, it is NOT lost.Īfter cleaning the pay-dirt, players can search the sack at the other end of the circuit to collect ore. When finished mining, players can clean the pay-dirt by depositing it into the hopper at the water circuit. ![]() Hence, veins on the lower level are resource-based, and veins on the upper level are time-based, thus making the upper level more desirable to miners since the same veins can be mined without fear of crashing one another. ![]() On the upper level, veins deplete 15-27 seconds after they were first mined. On the lower level, veins have a 33% chance of depleting each time an ore is mined. In addition, the veins disappear after a random period of time after they are first mined, rather than depleting faster if multiple people are mining them. It contains 64 additional ore veins that are very close to each other compared to the lower level. Players with level 72 Mining (cannot be boosted) may pay Prospector Percy a one-time fee of 100 golden nuggets to be granted permission to mine in the upper level of the mine, which is accessible via the ladder near the bank chest. The veins also have a chance to give uncut gems. A maximum of 26 may be mined in one vein, though the actual number varies considerably and can give as little as just 1. Players can mine the ore veins within the mine, which yield pay-dirt, an ore that gives 60 experience. 3.2 Motherlode Mine versus other methodsĪ miner mining an ore vein in the Motherlode Mine.I did all of these calculations for myself and figured I might as well post it on reddit in hopes it will help some of you guys out, enjoy. NOTE: This doesn't take into consideration the amount of time traveling to and from the hopper, or going to the bank or having to fix the water wheels. Using my time on average it should take about 10 hours to get full prospector and almost 21 hours total to unlock ALL of the unlockables. It took me 2 minutes and 30 seconds to get a full inventory of paydirt with 63 mining using a rune pickaxe. I did do a test run to figure out how long it should take, but these are just my numbers, and will be different for you. The coal bag and gem bag are 100 gold nuggets each, which brings our total to 380 nuggets, which means:ģ80/0.0274 = 13869 pay dirt, or about 500 full inventories which comes out to 832K mining xp for ALL the unlockables. The amount of xp you would get from this is about 400k (A little bit extra from the xp you get from collecting from the sack).īut how much would it take to get ALL the unlockables from motherlode mine, not just the prospector outfit? I have that here too, once again the amount of exact time it will take i couldn't find: Which is about 234 full inventories of paydirt. (I personally have never gotten more then 3.)įull prospector takes 180 gold nuggets, with the chances of getting a single nugget from a single paydirt we can find how much paydirt it should take, on average to get full prospector, iv'e done the math here:ġ80/0.0274 = 6569 rounded down. Because of this sometimes you may get no gold nuggets or you can get 2-3. I did however find the amount of paydirt needed for certain things, and the amount of xp you guys should get.įirst of all, each paydirt you put through the hopper has a %2.74 chance of actually becoming a gold nugget. So I did some calculations and have them here for you all:įirst of all the amount of time it takes to get full prospector I couldnt find out, because of all the variables such as mining level and pickaxe used, but have a rough estimate further down. I was doing some motherlode mine, grinding for full prospector and was curious how much paydirt it would take and how long it would take to get it. ![]() Hey everyone, so this is my first reddit post and I hope its well received.
